Political warfare. Artificial intelligence. Vanishing jobs. Global hunger. Foreign conflict. Election interference. Are these separate crises—or pieces of one dangerous formula?
America is being torn apart from within while much of the world moves closer to a conflict that could become impossible to contain.
Before martial law can be accepted, people must first be convinced that ordinary government can no longer maintain order.
Before another world war can be justified, people must first be made afraid of an enemy.
Before citizens surrender their freedom, they must first be made to believe that surrendering it is necessary for their protection.
The formula is not complicated:
Political division creates anger.
Economic instability creates desperation.
Food insecurity creates fear.
Artificial intelligence creates displacement.
Foreign war creates an emergency.
Election conflict creates the excuse.
Military control becomes the proposed solution.
And the victims are always the citizens.
A Political War With the People Trapped in the Middle
Democrats and Republicans no longer appear to be simply debating policies. America is witnessing political warfare in which both parties accuse the other of destroying the country.
Every investigation becomes retaliation.
Every election becomes a conspiracy.
Every court decision becomes partisan.
Every disagreement becomes an attack on democracy.
While politicians fight to control Washington, ordinary citizens are paying more for food, housing, insurance, utilities and transportation. Families are struggling while the government continues spending billions on conflicts overseas.
The people were promised protection, stability and representation. Instead, many now see a government more concerned with preserving political power than protecting the citizens who elected it.
If Republicans lose control of the House during the November midterms, investigations into the Trump administration could intensify, and impeachment could become a serious political possibility.
That makes the latest report from The Atlantic especially disturbing.
Attorney Peter Ticktin, a longtime Trump associate, reportedly described three possible outcomes for the midterm elections. He dismissed the possibility of a normal election because he believes Democrats will cheat. His second scenario involves Trump taking action before the election. His final scenario is Trump attempting to declare martial law around Election Day.
His reported message to Trump was direct:
“Either martial law, or step aside.”
When questioned about the possibility of Americans resisting an attempt to overturn the election results, Ticktin reportedly responded:
“Believe me, our armed forces are a lot bigger than they are.”
Those are not the words of someone speaking about protecting citizens. They describe citizens as people who might have to be defeated by their own military.

First Create the Emergency—Then Offer the Solution
Martial law cannot legally be used simply because a president dislikes an election result. The president does not possess unlimited authority to cancel elections, seize ballots or remain in power after losing political support.
But the danger is not limited to whether such an action would ultimately survive a court challenge.
The immediate danger is the confusion, fear, violence and institutional breakdown that could occur before the courts stop it.
What happens if federal agents appear near polling locations?
What happens if voting machines or ballots are seized?
What happens if election results are rejected before votes are completely counted?
What happens if competing groups declare themselves the legitimate government?
What happens if protests erupt—and those protests are then called an insurrection?
An administration seeking emergency authority would need an emergency narrative. A disputed election, civil unrest, alleged foreign interference or a major international attack could supply one.
The American people must ask whether today’s repeated allegations of election fraud are preparing the public to accept actions that would once have been considered unthinkable.
AI Is Changing the World Faster Than Workers Can Prepare
At the same time, artificial intelligence is being introduced throughout the global economy with extraordinary speed.
Companies are replacing human responsibilities with automated systems. Entry-level positions are disappearing. Experienced workers are being told to adapt, retrain or accept that their former careers may never return.
Young adults were told that education was their path to security. Many borrowed tens of thousands of dollars to earn degrees, only to enter a market in which employers are reducing graduate hiring, demanding experience for entry-level positions and using AI to perform work once assigned to new employees.
Software-development job postings reportedly fell dramatically from their 2022 peak. Although some positions are returning, much of that recovery is concentrated among experienced professionals—not recent graduates. Young graduates continue confronting elevated unemployment and a shrinking doorway into professional careers.

This does not mean every job will disappear. It means the economic system is changing before society has created a dependable plan for the people displaced by that change.
Who will support families when permanent jobs are replaced by temporary assignments and automated systems?
Who will purchase the products produced by AI-controlled companies when millions of people no longer earn dependable incomes?
What happens when citizens lose their jobs, their homes, their healthcare and finally their hope?
A population struggling to survive becomes easier to frighten, easier to divide and easier to control.
Food Insecurity Is No Longer a Distant Crisis
The World Food Programme reports that approximately 266 million people are at risk of acute hunger in 2026, including millions endangered by escalating conflict in the Middle East.

War disrupts ports, shipping lanes, farms, fuel supplies and fertilizer production. Extreme weather damages crops. Higher energy prices make transporting food more expensive. When governments and relief organizations run short of funding, assistance is reduced precisely when more people need it.
Food shortages do not have to mean that every grocery store in America becomes completely empty.
The warning may first appear as higher prices, fewer choices, smaller packages, interrupted supplies and families being forced to choose between food, medicine, housing and electricity.
Once food becomes unaffordable, social stability can deteriorate rapidly.
Hunger creates desperation. Desperation creates unrest. Unrest creates the justification for stronger government control.
Even the Wealthy Appear to Be Repositioning
Across portions of the luxury-real-estate market, trophy properties have remained listed for extended periods, received substantial price reductions or sold far below their original asking prices.
This does not prove that wealthy property owners possess secret knowledge about an approaching catastrophe. Some properties were simply overpriced, outdated or unusually difficult to sell.
But the movement is still worth watching.
The wealthy do not always wait for a crisis to become public. They move assets, change locations, purchase land, diversify investments and reduce exposure when they believe political, economic or social conditions are becoming unstable.
When multimillion-dollar properties require enormous discounts to attract buyers, it may indicate more than a problem with one house. It can also reveal changing confidence, growing uncertainty and a desire for liquidity.
The question is not whether every wealthy person is preparing for collapse.
The question is: What do financially powerful people see that ordinary citizens are not being told to examine?
The Road Toward World War III
The United States is already involved in a dangerous confrontation with Iran while tensions involving Israel, Russia, China, Taiwan, Ukraine and the Middle East remain interconnected.
One miscalculation could activate military alliances, close critical shipping routes, disrupt oil supplies and draw additional nuclear-armed nations into direct confrontation.
Foreign war may also serve a domestic political purpose.
A government facing economic discontent, collapsing public approval, election losses or possible impeachment could point toward a foreign enemy and declare that the country must unite behind presidential authority.
That does not prove every military operation is intentionally designed to stop impeachment. But history demands that citizens question leaders who gain expanded power from crises they helped create or failed to prevent.
A widening war could produce:
- Emergency presidential declarations
- Expanded surveillance of American citizens
- Restrictions on protests and public gatherings
- Deployment of federal forces inside the United States
- Censorship justified as national security
- Delayed or disrupted elections
- Military control presented as temporary protection
Temporary government powers have a dangerous habit of becoming permanent.
The Government Created to Protect the People
The United States government was built to protect constitutional rights, defend the country and serve the people.
Today, many citizens feel as though that government is turning against them.
People questioning authority are branded as extremists.
Peaceful disagreement is treated as disinformation.
Workers are replaced without an economic transition plan.
Families face rising food and housing costs.
Wars continue without meaningful public consent.
Election distrust is encouraged before voting is completed.
Military intervention is discussed as a political option.
A government does not have to openly announce that it intends to destroy its people.
It can destroy them through unemployment, debt, unaffordable food, endless warfare, surveillance, division and fear—while continuing to claim that every action is being taken for their protection.

I have repeatedly warned that the public could be shown illusions while something far more dangerous developed beneath the surface.
An illusion of peace while preparations for war continue.
An illusion of election security while plans for federal intervention are discussed.
An illusion of economic strength while dependable careers disappear.
An illusion of abundance while millions move closer to hunger.
An illusion of democracy while advisers discuss using military power against citizens who resist.
The report concerning martial law is not proof that Trump has approved such a plan. But citizens should not dismiss the fact that people within his outside circle are openly urging him to consider it.
The formula is now visible:
Create division.
Create fear.
Create scarcity.
Create an enemy.
Discredit the election.
Expect public resistance.
Call that resistance an insurrection.
Deploy force in the name of restoring order.
Preserve political power.
If a foreign war expands at the same time, America could confront domestic upheaval and global conflict simultaneously.
That is how a nation can be pushed toward martial law.
That is how regional wars can become World War III.
And that is why preparation cannot begin after the emergency has already been declared.

Are You Prepared?
Preparation does not mean living in fear. It means refusing to be caught unaware.
Families should consider:
- Maintaining a reasonable emergency supply of food, water and medicine
- Keeping important documents protected and accessible
- Developing a family communication and meeting plan
- Reducing unnecessary debt where possible
- Learning practical skills that do not depend entirely on technology
- Following multiple credible information sources
- Documenting government actions without spreading unverified claims
- Knowing constitutional rights before an emergency occurs
- Building relationships with trustworthy neighbors and local communities
- Remaining spiritually grounded and mentally prepared
The greatest danger is not that everyone will recognize the formula.
The greatest danger is that people will recognize it only after they have surrendered the power to stop it.
The question is no longer whether the warning signs exist.
The question is whether the American people will recognize them before fear is used to take away the freedoms they were promised would always be protected.
